When you’re putting up drywall or plastering a room, the corners can be one of the hardest and most frustrating parts to do, especially the ones that are hard to reach.

And usually, the first part of plastering in a room needs to be done right for the whole job to look good. Inside and outside corners that are smooth and sharp can make the whole wall look good, so it’s important to do them well. A corner trowel can be worth its weight in gold at this point.

Getting your corner right the first time can save you time, among other things. It can also mean that you don’t have to go over the same spot as many times, and that you’re less likely to get a sore arm from hard-to-reach corners.

This hand-held tool fits perfectly in the corners of the room, making it the perfect tool for making surfaces flatter and smoother in the end.

Most corners will be 90 degrees, but you can get a trowel that can be adjusted or that comes in different sizes to make sure it fits the angle you want. Many also have handles that are easy on your hands and are made of soft materials. The blades can be made of stainless steel that won’t rust, so you can use them for a long time.

Finish the Job Faster

Plasterers have been arguing for years about whether or not you need a corner trowel to finish corners, but one thing is for sure: you do need one. If you use a corner trowel right and put the right amount of pressure on it, it will help you get the job done faster and better. It will also leave you with fewer aches and pains because getting the corners right is easier.

What Corner Trowels Can Do

When putting up drywall, a corner trowel is also helpful if you need to tape a corner joint. After putting the mud on the corners with a drywall knife, you just need to cut a piece of drywall tape the length of the wall and fold it in half.

Fold the drywall tape in half and place it in the corner. Press it tightly against the wall and squeeze out any extra mud. If you squeeze out all the extra mud, the bubbles will go down and the compound will dry faster.

With moderate pressure, you just run the trowel down the corner from top to bottom, flattening the tape and removing any extra mud as you go. Then, you can use the trowel again to smooth a layer of mud on top.
